I hated marketing

Oh yes, I did... and for the longest time, avoided it like the plague.

Isn't that an irony?

An email MARKETER who hated MARKETING?

Well in my defense, I was not an email marketer then. I was a content writer and my aversion to marketing kept me from growing.

Then, it was because I hated having to sell things to people and convince them to pay for something they probably didn't want to buy.

So how did someone who hated marketing become an email marketer?

 Down the line, I came to know that that phobia was borne out of ignorance. I didn't realize that marketing had:

It is basically a science and an art. It is not about forcing things down people's throats, rather it's about following a proven science-backed strategy to educate people about what you sell and why they need it.

My love for writing and penchant for solving problems brought me out of my ignorance. I've always been good with writing but particularly extra with emails.


That moment where I put on my thinking cap, going through your email list, learning about your business and your offer and studying your target audience and competitors to find that sweet spot that connects them all together is when I get my highest thrills.
